Rushlake Green Village Leaf

The Village today

There can be few more perfect places to live in and work than Rushlake Green. Set in the most fabulously beautiful countryside on the edge of the Weald, our village is a short drive from Brighton and the beaches along the South East coast and yet also just over an hour by train from all that London has to offer. But surely what most marks out Rushlake Green from many other small villages, is its unmistakable sense of community and friendliness.

Perhaps in part because it has its Village Green, its Local Shop and its Pub right at its heart, Rushlake Green seems to inspire a real sense of belonging and involvement. This sense of being part of Rushlake Green extends to people who live within the village itself and throughout a wider area around the parish of Rushlake Green and Warbleton, many of whom have been connected with the locality for generations.

Village life in Rushlake Green is incredibly active and diverse. This ranges from the hugely popular annual Flower Show run by the Warbleton Horticultural and Poultry Society to a range of other societies and interest groups such as the Village Players, the History Group, the Warbleton Brass band, the WI, the many local musicians, artists and designers; and a whole host of events in the Dunn Village Hall and other local venues.
