Dave Beckett, blues guitarist, plus floor singers. Dave played at the White Horse last year and is welcomed back.

CORNFLOWER BLUE DOUBLE BILL Saturday 10th July
Saturday 10th July. Cornflower Blue are taking part in: Dallington Songs on the Sugarloaf 2010 at Woods Corner, Dallington. The evening runs from 6.30pm until 10.30pm. Great line up includes Grass Roots,(Bluegrass), Katie Ault, (Classical), Quintasia, (Covers) and Got Milk, (Rock Covers). There will also be Jugglers, Barbecue, Beer and Wine Tent. Ice Creams. Free Car Parking and a wonderful Firework Finale. Tickets are from: Roz Welfare 01435 830276 or Post Offices – Dallington, Netherfield, Rushlake Green. Prices are: Adult – £10, Child – £5, Family – £25 (2 adults/ 2 children). Cornflower will also be performing on Saturday 10th July at the Underground Theatre, which is situated beneath the Central Library in Grove Road, Eastbourne. This is a free event, starting at 10am and finishing at 12.00.

MERRIE HARRIERS BEER FESTIVAL 17th & 18th July
Beer festival in the beer garden. Two days of tastings - featuring great British ales and lagers - and Pimms, Fine Wines and Soft Drinks. Also games, to make it a family occasion, a hog roast (on the Sunday) and live music from the Cajun Dawgs. Saturday 17th July and Sunday 18th July. 12.00pm till late both days.

MAYFIELD HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY SUMMER SHOW Saturday, 17th July from 2:30 pm
Please come along to support this traditional village event and feast your eyes on wonderful vegetables, glorious flowers, imaginative floral arrangements, excellent handicrafts and support the children from the Mayfield Pre-School and Mayfield Primary School who are displaying art work and vegetables grown in the school garden. Lots to see this year but sorry, due to health issues of our judge, the dog show has had to be cancelled. BUT we have owls this year, live music, a plant sale, teas & coffee with home made cakes, ice creams and much more. Venue: Mayfield Memorial Hall Open to the public 2.30pm entrance by donation, but those with entries please bring them between 8.30am and 10.30am.

76th FLOWER SHOW on RUSHLAKE GREEN Saturday 31st July
Warbleton & District Horticultural & Poultry Society Annual flower and produce show. Warbleton Brass Band will play, adding to the traditional atmosphere. Also for the first time at Rushlake Green - The Southern Golden Retriever Society Display Team. Popular at Crufts and have performed on Blue Peter. PLUS MUCH MUCH MORE.... Marquee open to the Public at 2.15pm ALSO . . . Join us for a CANDLELIT SUPPER, 7.00 for 7.30pm with music and song on the evening of the flower show, with a light 2 course supper. Sing along to some wonderful songs including music from the 50's and 60's live from local musicians. Colour scheme of black and white..White tuxedos, Mary Quant dresses...? Rushlake Green's very own brass band invite you to their Summer concert of traditional brass band and contemporary music. 6.30pm in the Dunn Village Hall.

DIG FOR VICTORY - Cowbeech Sunday 8th August
The village show with a 1940s touch. Competitions with medals, cups, trophies and prizes for Veg, Fruit, Flowers, Eggs, Flower Arranging, Handicrafts etc, with clases for children. Also Stalls. sideshows, games, an auction and of course Vintage vehicles and period dress. Warbleton Brass Band, Tug of war, Swingtime sweethearts, tea tent, barbecue . . . and the pub open all day.

LE MARCHE - HEATHFIELD ANNUAL FRENCH MARKET. Monday 30th August
Heathfield closes it's streets to welcome a genuine French market on this highly popular and well supported annual day. Opens 9.30 and continues until 3.30pm. Dozens of stalls staffed by real french people, with real french accents, selling real french fruit, veg, sweets, nic-nacs and much more - with many local producers and retailers also taking part. An all day programme of live events and a ride and drive service from outside town - this event attracts a big crowd.

An exhibition of paintings by Rushlake Green artist Chris Liddiard. His paintings, sometimes realistic, sometimes not, are inspired by the village and the surrounding countryside.
